Hybrid Car Project
This was our third project in STEM class. This project was mainly based around the engineering part of this class. Our job was to design and build a alternative energy powered car. This challenge was presented by Hyundai. However, we had to reach some requirements to be able to present our fully working car. Our car had to travel five meters and stop as close as possible to that mark. Our cars also had to carry an excess mass of 250 grams.

We had to learn and apply many concepts during the making of of our car. Listed below are the most important ones.
Energy- Capacity for doing work
Gravitational Potential Energy- Energy due to gravity
Kinetic Energy- Energy due to movement
Spring Constant- Measure of elasticity in a spring
Spring Potential Energy- Energy due to compression or expansion of elastic materials
Pressure- The amount of force on a certain area
Power- Rate of doing work

Reflection
I learned a lot of things during the course of engineering and building the hybrid car. First of all, I learned to always have a backup plan. Our group had a very cool idea to build a water-whee powered car. We spent a majority of the time we had building it. Unfortunately, i did not work at all and we had to scrap our idea at the last second. Other than that, this project went great and was very fun.
